CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF GREEN RESIDENTS

PUBLIC HEARING ON THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET

AND SEWER FUND:

TO:     THE ELECTORS AND PROPERTY OWNERS IN THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF GREEN, MECOSTA COUNTY, MICHIGAN, AND ANY OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE The Green Charter Township Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on the proposed township budget for fiscal year 2026 – 2027 at Township Hall on Tuesday February 10, 2026 at the Township Hall, 21431 Northland Drive, Paris, MI 49338, within the Township commencing at 4:30 p.m. 

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Township Board of the Charter Township of Green has estimated the General Fund expenditures of the Township for the fiscal year commencing April 1, 2026 at $895,709.00;

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Township Board of the Charter Township of Green has estimated the cost and expenses of maintenance and operation of the Green Charter Township Sewer Fund the fiscal year commencing April 1, 2026 at $135,978.49;

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the General Fund Budget, the Sewer Fund Budget are also on file with the Township Clerk at the aforesaid address and are available for public inspection from the time of this notice until the date of the public hearing hereinbefore set forth and may further be examined at said public hearing.

THE PROPERTY TAX MILLAGE RATE PROPOSED TO BE LEVIED TO SUPPORT THE PROPOSED BUDGET WILL BE A SUBJECT OF THIS HEARING.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that in accordance with the order of the Township Board and the statutes of the State of Michigan, the Township arranged for publication of notice of the public hearing scheduled for Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at the Charter Township of Green, Township Hall, 21431 Northland Drive, Paris, MI 49338, within the Township commencing at

4:30 p.m. for the purpose of considering the foregoing estimated costs and expenses and proposed budgets to meet each of the foregoing costs and expenses is: 1.2345 Mills tax for General Operating.

Green Charter Township will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services to individuals with disabilities with four (4) days notice to the Charter Township of Green Clerk at the address or telephone number listed below.
